Our process
Pre- contract :
Step One
Owner, Glen Story will meet with the prospective home owner, where we will discuss the stage in the project process they are at.
We listen to your concepts and ideas for the project and help you create your vision. Then we can take these ideas to the architect/engineer. If you are not already working with an architect or engineer, we can refer you to one that we have worked with and feel comfortable recommending.
Once there is a clear idea of the scope of the project we can give you a tentative quote until final architectural and engineered drawings are complete.
If you already have a complete set of plans, we can move straight to onsite measurements and will return with a final quote and contract.
You’ve signed a contract with Glen Story Construction :
Step Two
Plans will then be submitted to the city for permitting to ensure that all construction complies with city and state safety standards and code regulations.
Then we’ll select materials for your property from windows, flooring, roofing to cabinetry, always keeping your budget and lifestyle in mind.
Should you need a loan to finance the construction we are happy to provide detailed costs to your loan company.
Glen will develop detailed schedules for each phase of the project, including inspections, completion dates, and payments.
Construction :
Step Three
At Glen Story Construction we make communication a priority, ensuring that you know when we will be there and how to reach us at all times. We like to have, onsite meetings with our customers during all phases of construction so that you are aware of how your project is progressing.
Every step of the way we like our owners to review the work and make sure that everything is where they had envisioned, so if there are any changes to be made it is not too far in to that area of the project, and that it can be altered easily and at no or minimal cost.
Wrap up :
Final step
After all the construction is completed we will call for final inspection from the City. Upon passing inspection we will walk over the project one final time for you to sign off and give your final approval. It is at this time we will ask you to fill out our evaluation form to help us in our efforts to continually improve our service. We appreciate your genuine feedback on how you feel we have performed; we aim to have provided you with excellent customer service, quality workmanship and timely completion.
